Annual Giving provides critical support for the University's annual operating budget, ensuring that its programs continue to be of the highest quality and helping to keep tuition as affordable as possible. Annual Giving donations open the benefits of a ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ education to talented students from a variety of backgrounds, allowing the University to recruit a more diverse student body and create a campus community reflecting the world ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ graduates will enter.
Annual Giving Fund Designations
Here are some of the most popular and impactful areas you can support:
Evergreen Annual Fund
ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½βs priority is to provide academic scholarships and need-based grants to deserving students. Thatβs why 100% of the Evergreen Annual Fund is dedicated to meeting this need. With 99% of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ students receiving some form of financial aidβmost of it funded directly by the Universityβyour support is essential. A gift to the Evergreen Annual Fund helps make a ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ education possible and accessible for more students each year.
Greyhounds Athletics Fund
Gifts made to the support the well-being of more than 450 ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Greyhound student-athletes. These gifts provide the athletic department's administration the opportunity to invest in the areas of greatest need among all of its priorities. Academic support, sports medicine, nutrition, travel, and strength & conditioning are examples of the ways in which these dollars are invested in ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ student-athletes.
Student Succes Fund
Every ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ student deserves the opportunity to succeed and graduate. The Student Success Fund provides vital financial assistance to students facing unexpected expenses, ensuring they can stay focused on their studies and on track to earn their degree.
Other Designated Giving
Annual gifts may be designated to enhance the student experience, including new and upgraded technology and equipment, academic programs, innovative curricula and experiences, student services, and campus life.

Recurring Gifts
In addition to making a one-time gift, you also have the option of setting up monthly
contributions. This is a great way for you to make a gift to the University without
having to write a check, pay postage, or receive a reminder letter or phone call.
By charging your credit or debit card each month, you will be breaking your gift into
manageable contributions and making a tremendous impact on ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½.

Matching Gifts
Your employer may match any charitable contribution you make to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ University Maryland, and many corporations match gifts by their board members, employee's spouses, or retirees. To find out if a company you are associated with has a matching gift policy, please enter their name below.
If your company is elligible, click on the go to matching gift form button to find and submit the relevant matching gift form. It only takes a little extra time, but submitting a matching gift can double our even triple the impact of your contribution to ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½.
